 " Figure In Habit " 32" X 11" X 11" Ceramic Sculpture I have never considered myself to be anything other than an artist.
Symbolism is salient to the expression of my art. With my ceramic sculpture, I have merged
symbolic images from our ancient past with contemporary concerns about living a meaningful life
in a rapidly changing and confusing world.

| The sculptures are hand built, fired, covered with layers of spackle and gesso and then painted with a variety of techniques mimicking, stone, leather and wood. My joy is in enabling something that was only an idea or a small fragment of a thought to materialize into three dimensional piece of work, rich in color, texture and metaphor. . . Lynda M.
